I only had a general idea about what fishing was. I thought that you just cast a hook with a little worm on it and watch a bobber until something happens. I didn't really know about real fishing until I met 'Papa'. He explained in great detail about how to properly tie a line to attach the hook. He showed me how to cast with a flick of the wrist. And he explained how to properly pull in a fish and keep it from jumping off of the hook. I had no idea how dangerous the barbs on a catfish could be! Luckily he taught all of these things to me so I didn't have to learn the hard way. I learned a new way of fishing that is far more fun, entertaining, and productive. Fishing became 'catching' for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed 'Papa's' company on the fishing trips that I have been on with him. I enjoy the trips so much that I don't want to leave even after hours have passed and my energy is draining as the sun slips lower in the sky. I highly recomend taking a fishing tour with 'Papa'. It's always a memorable experience!

My dad taught me everything I know about catching fish, but most importantly he taught me to respect and appreciate the great outdoors. He's spent decades fishing in Middle Tennessee learning the waters and perfecting the techniques that turn fishing trips into 'catching' trips. Every time I visit home I try to make plans to go out on the lake with him, and we always have a blast! We don't always catch a lot of fish, but we usually do, and as I've learned from fishing on my own, catching a lot of fish isn't something to take for granted. Each new body of water presents it's own challenges and there is no substitute for experience. Many of the best spots are only accessible from a boat, but even having a boat doesn't guarantee success. Fishing with my dad is truly a different experience from fishing alone. I know I'm biased but I can't imagine finding a better fishing guide.
